Woodcutting guide

Woodcutting is a simple skill what can be done by using a hatchet, to chop down trees, as shown below. For woodcutting, you can use the logs for 2 other skills,fletching or firemaking, or sell to the general store / players.

Trees

Normal "Trees" are what you start woodcutting on, you need to get a Iron or Bronze Hatchet what can be brought from Vanessa at home for 56gp. Normal trees give 750xp per log you chop. You need to chop down 4 logs, for level 15+ so you can cut Oak trees.






Oak Trees

Oak tree's requires a Black Hatchet+ to chop down. These can be collected by killing black dragons or by buying off players. Oak trees give 1,125xp per chop. You need to cut down 10 logs for lvl 30, so you can cut Willow trees.






Willow Trees

Willow trees requires a Adamant Hatchet+ to chop down. These can be collected by killing various npc's or by buying off players, or the skill smithing. Willow trees give 2025xp per chop. You need to cut down 23 Williow logs for level 45, so you can cut down Maple trees.







Maple Trees

11Maple trees requries a Runite Hatchet+ to chop down. These can be collected by killing various npc's or by buying from Vanessa at home for 5120gp. Maple trees give 3000xp per chop. You need to cut down 71 Maple logs for level 60, so you can cut down Yew trees.



Yew Trees

Yew trees requires a Rune Hatchet+ to chop down. These can be collected by killing various npc's or by buying from Vanessa at home for 5120gp. Yew trees give 5250xp per log.. You need to cut down 179 Yew logs for level 75, so you can cut down Magic trees.



Magic Trees

Magic trees requires a Rune Hatchet+ to chop down. These can be collected by killing various npc's or by buying from Vanessa at home for 5120gp. Magic trees give 7,500xp per log. You need to cut down 1577 Magic logs for 99 woodcutting, skill mastery, so you can wear the skillcape.
